Hey guys!! My name is Heather. I am one of the trainers here at the Compound. I have completed my Crossfit Level I cert and my Nutrition cert. I am a native of Pennsylvania but served five years in our wonderful military. That is where my passion for health and fitness started to take shape. I was a "traditional" weightlifter and avid runner. I have ran 5ks, 8ks, half marathons and it wasn't until I did my first crossfit workout (which only lasted 15 mins) that I realized what the body truely needed and what being fit was all about!
During my time in the Navy, I was my given the responsibility of being the physical fitness coordinator. I spent countless hours in the gym watching people, myself included, hit a plateau in their workout or body composition. Finally I have seen the light.....CROSSFIT is where it's at!!!
I strongly encourage anyone, any size, any age to try one workout and reap the benefits.The most rewarding part for me is to watch people, especially women, do something they never thought they could. Out of the gym, I spend most of time with Ryan and our daughters doing anything outdoors that could potentionally result in huge hospital bills.
My advice to anyone looking into personal training, a new gym, or just curious about our program is to drop in for one of the workouts. Unless you actually do it, talking about it doesn't give it justice.
